Theatre Preview: Critics’ Awards for Theatre in Scotland, 14 June, Festival Theatre, Edinburgh

Love the theatre? Like a party? Fancy mingling with the stars? The 2009 Critics’ Awards for Theatre in Scotland (CATS) are coming to Edinburgh on Sunday 14 June and the organisers are inviting the public along to join in the fun – and I’ve got two tickets to give away to the event!

Founded in 2003, the awards are designed to celebrate all that’s most exciting in theatre made here in Scotland and are made across ten categories:

  • Best Performance (Male)
  • Best Performance (Female)
  • Best Director
  • Best Ensemble
  • Best New Play
  • Best Show for Children and Young People
  • Best Design
  • Best Music
  • Best Technical Presentation and
  • Best Production

The evening includes a glittering awards ceremony with guest star presenter in the Festival Theatre auditorium, as well as drinks, snacks, music, and celebration in the Johnnie Walker Bar.

Tickets for the event cost £15 and are available from the Festival Theatre website.
