Theatre Preview: Absurd Person Singular, 6 – 11 October, King’s Theatre, Edinburgh

4 Sep

Dark comedy comes to Edinburgh’s King’s Theatre in October with Alan Ayckbourn’s Absurd Person Singular (Monday 6 – Saturday 11 October).

Set in three different kitchens, on three consecutive Christmas Eves, the play charts the success of the Hopcrofts as they attempt to rise up the social ladder, eventually overtaking the friends who once patronised them.

There’s a great cast for this one, including Sara Crowe (Four Weddings and a Funeral) Matthew Cottle (Game On), Honeysuckle Weeks (Foyle’s War) and David Griffin (Keeping Up Appearances and Hi-de-Hi).

The production received a great review from The Stage and should be a great night out.
