Music Preview: The Other Other Hand, 7 – 8 August, Music Box, Edinburgh

3 Aug

Things are starting to get quite exciting now for the ramp up and launch of the Edinburgh Fringe. The recently developed Music Box at Stevenson College in Edinburgh is host to The Other Other Hand on Thursday 7 and Friday 8 August, a contemporary music and performing art piece developed by J. Simon van der Walt.

The show is van der Walt’s Ph.D composition for the Royal Scottish Acadamy for Music and Dance (RSAMD). He has ideas about the performers’ own interpretation of the music which may come from his Jazz background along with an interest in theatre and performing art.

The Other Other Hand, can be quoted as “serious in intent, but frequently very funny” and will undoubtedly be an experience to watch.

So for an artistic, theatrical and musical performance see The Other Other Hand at the Music Box this coming week.
