Part of the Glasgow Film Theatre’s regular Monorail Film Club, Sunday 24 August sees them screen Milos Forman’s A Blonde in Love from 1965.
An inspiration for director Ken Loach, the film tells of a working-class young woman in a hick Czech town who sleeps with one of the band members of a group from Prague. When she doesn’t hear from him again, she packs her bags and arrives on his doorstep in the big city, throwing his household (he lives with his parents) into chaos. Here’s a clip:
The screening will be introduced by Al Kingsbury, founder member of the Monorail Film Club.
