Coming to Edinburgh this week, from Thursday 29 until Sunday 1 June, is the second annual Taste of Edinburgh festival, sponsored by Channel 4.

The country’s top culinary talent – including two of Scotland’s Michelin-starred chefs, Martin Wishart and Andrew Fairlie alongside Lady Claire MacDonald and The Tower’s James Thomson – will headline, and join forces with the finest restaurants and food and drink producers in what will be the epicurean event of the year.

The event is set to provide a culinary experience that will give 25,000 foodies the opportunity to sample “taster dishes” from 20 of Edinburgh’s top restaurants, as the chefs work for four days in their on-site demonstration kitchens. Restaurants present include:

  • abstract
  • Bella Mbriana
  • Centotre
  • Ducks at le Marche Noir
  • First Coast
  • Restaurant David Bann
  • Tigerlily
  • Vincaffe

As well as sampling cooking from the best culinary talent in the country, festival goers will be able to eat and drink from up to 100 speciality food and drink suppliers who will all have stands at the event sampling and selling Scotland’s products.
